Mar Roxas is the new DILG chief
President Benigno Noynoy Aquino III has decided to tapped the services of DOTC head Mar Roxas as the new Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary.
Mar Roxas replaced the late Jesse Robredo who died in a tragic plane crash.
The President's announcement ended days of speculation on who will lead the DILG agency. Names popped up for the position are Mar Roxas , Joseph Emilio Abaya, Senator Panfilo Lacson, former Isabela Governor Grace Padaca and Davao City Vice Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
Representative Joseph Emilio Abaya will take over Roxas’ previous position at the DOTC.
