Director Marilou Diaz-Abaya Died; He was 75
Multi-awarded film director Marilou Diaz-Abaya has passed away Monday (October 8) after her valiant battle against breast cancer.
The 57-year-old film maker died around 7 o’clock at St. Luke’s Medical Center in The Fort Global City, Taguig.
Abaya's highly recognized movies includes “Brutal,” “Moral,” “Karnal,” “Alyas Baby Tsina,” the biopic “Jose Rizal” with Cesar Montano, “Muro Ami,” “Bagong Buwan,” and “Ikaw Ang Pag-ibig.”
She also founded, the Marilou Diaz-Abaya Film Institute and Arts Center, a film school based in Antipolo.
