Albert "Betong" Sumaya wins Celebrity Sole Survivor title (Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown)
Even at the start of the competition, no one expect castaway Albert "Betong" Sumaya to surpassed the 36 days of survivor challenge but this guy played with his heart... Betong Sumayawas was declared Celebrity Sole Survivor during 'Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown' Grand Finale Night!
The comedian received 4 votes from jury members Maey Bautista, Chuckie Dreyfus, Arthur Solinap and KC Montero. The two runners-ups are Mara Yokohama, who got 2 votes from the Philippine Volcanoes players Arnold Aninion and John Odulio while Stef Prescott only got 1 vote from Gino dela Peña.
All the reality drama, challenges and clashes of celebrity egos happened at San Vicente, Palawan. "Survivor Philippines 4" introduced the "couples" concept and "Temptation Reward" but still only one will remain as the Celebrity Sole Survivor.
At the finale event held at the Studio 7 of GMA Network Building, GMA-7 Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon and President and COO Gilberto Duavit, Jr. presented the P 3 million grand prize to the sole survivor winner.
Albert "Betong" Sumaya outwitted, outplayed and outlasted the 19 castaways....Amazing!
